Platform Update — Profiles & Social Feed

Profile improvements Redesigned profile identity area with clearer hierarchy between the banner, avatar, name, biography, and actions. Profile biographies now use the full available width, giving longer introductions more room to breathe. Added a cleaner statistics strip for published books, followers, following, and author ratings. Added a reading snapshot showing current books, reading progress, completed titles, favourites, and reviews. Profile accent colours now appear throughout highlights, borders, progress indicators, and navigation elements. Improved section navigation for quicker access to updates, books, reviews, shelves, and guestbook messages. Refined spacing and responsive behaviour across desktop and mobile layouts. Social feed improvements Feed posts now display the author’s avatar, name, username, and publishing date directly inside each activity card. Reviews now present the reviewer, rating, book cover, title, and review content as one connected activity item. General updates, announcements, book updates, and reading notes now have distinct visual treatments. Attached books are more prominent and easier to open from posts. Added stronger visual separation between activity items while keeping the feed clean and readable. Improved the desktop timeline layout and mobile card presentation. Posting experience The update composer now takes up less space when it is not being used. Existing post creation, editing, deletion, reporting, commenting, and moderation behaviour remains unchanged. Book attachments, update types, pinned posts, and comment controls continue to work as before. Overall polish This update focuses on making profiles feel like personal reading spaces rather than flat information pages. The following feed now feels more connected to the actual people, books, and reading activity behind every post.
